About Viji K...

Viji Krishnamoorthy was born in Ipoh in 1965 to parents who were in education, so words have always been a big deal. Her primary, secondary and tertiary education were spent between Kuala Lumpur, Madras and London.

She spent several years as a freelance writer for magazines including Going Places (Malaysian Airlines inflight magazine), Marie Claire and Her World.

She was co-editor of The Lockdown Chronicles, an anthology of 19 Malaysian voices and contributed a story too.

912 Batu Road is her debut novel.

She lives in Kuala Lumpur with her husband and two children, though her peripatetic life sees her crossing borders and escaping the mundane.
